Condition Intact. Some encrustation. Dark to light green patina. Some small chips, as well as marks of tool with which shaft was worked. Coated by Florence Museum.
Description Bronze nail or stud having shaft which is basically square in section, although each right angle is sheared off all the way down, or to within 0.010 m of point, to give shaft a slightly octagonal appearance before it tapers to a two-sided point. Semi-circular domed head with flat bottom joined to shaft at an angle. Head irregularly round.
