Profile Observations: (See p. 16-opposite for strata)

Once the baulk wall dried out, the diffeentiation between strata A and B became much less apparent (as opposed to the strong division between the two in the preliminary sketh of p. 12-opposite). Stratum B just has a much higher stone content.

"Floor" or hard packed plaster did not show up in the profile drawn of June 26. It is located approximately in the middle of stratum C.

Some redware is being found outside of stratum C, but the concentration of it is definately in the rooty, red soil layer (stratum C).
