A cut was taken in D-E/68-70 to a depth of ca. 50-55cm. The soil was red-brown in color and contained heavy concentrations of disintegrated yellow plaster and carbon chunks. A large amount of pottery (2 boxes) of all fabrics, including bucchero, buccheroid, impasto and orange wear, was discovered throughout the cut. Several of the sherds (see find # 4) appear to be quite early in date. Many pieces of bone (1 box) were also found. Only one quarter cassetta of mixed tile and plaster (50% tile, 50% plaster) was removed. Both the tile and plaster were extremely worn and very small in size.
