26 July 1968
Eighteen boxes of tile were dumped today. Eighty-eight pieces were excavated. Fifty-three frieze frags., sixteen of them campstool and the majority cavetti, were excavated. An extra large gorgon antefix was excavated in grid F12 strata C. It remains the same gorgon even though it is nearly twice as wide as the others. Its right eye and eyebrow were found in the odd box, from trench 2G, attached.
