Daily Log - 19/07/2013

AM

Work is done in the western meter, in the south, in order to expose the extent of the Locus 6 soil into Locus 8 . Baulkwalling is also done along the western meter of the extension (Locus 8). Rock defining is done in the northwestern corner of the trench, in Locus 8. Scraping is also don in Locus 5 to expose the extent of Locus 6 soil, particularly as it relates to the rock feature. Further scraping of the soil in Locus 8 is revealing that the yellowish soil of Locus 6 seems to be extending up against the diagonal feature of rocks running from the southeast to the northwest corners of the trench. Baulkwalling also continues, now along the northern wall in the northwest corner of Locus 8. Scraping is also done over the entirety of Locus 5 in order to remove debris and loose, dry soil that has accumulated since that locus was last excavated.

PM

Cleaning of the trench is done and Locus 6 is closed. Locus 9 is opened and opening photos and elevations are taken for Locus 9.
