Photographs taken.
A new strip laid out- grid B 1-4. Work started in B 3-4. Str. A lifted. It produced about half a strawberry carton of sherdskl, some Greek, painted and a spindle whorl.
Str. D consists of a reddish-brown soil. It produced again small slivers of bronze, small bronze nails and slivers of ivoryl. The ivory is here badly burnt and is very fragile. It is light blue and the texture is powdery. Two boxes of tiles were collected.
In grid B 1-2 the concentration of tiles increased

bronze nail, silver, plaited head
to a tile layer proper. Three boxes of tiles were gathered, and the rest were left to be cleared. Among the tiles were one curved "cut-out" and a few pieces of ridgepole tile. A couple of pithoi fragmetns were noted.
Among the ivory fragments were at least five very small triangular pieces. They seemed to be of the same size and not decorated. see 19710671 IE IV, p. 227
