Work was continued in grid B 1-4. the character of the finds is to some extent different in this cut, compared both to R7 and to R8 grid A 1-4. The pottery is scarce and of less good quality. Ivory fragments, on the other hand, are extremely numerous. So far they all seem to belong to appliques or inlays. No animal fragments.

Bronze slivers appear in a surprising quantity-Fro the most part the original shape cannot be ascertained. Nails and tacks are numerous.
