Amplying the pick axe, shovel and wheelbarrel method, a cut was made in meters 50S 165E and 51S 165E. The area was brought down to about 64 cm bd and leveled. Before the break for lunch, the baulk walls of the trench were trimmed and the floor was swept. No work was done on the baulk wall of the original T22 west ext trench. The soil remins to be the yellowish light brown soil witht the white particulates characteristic of Locus 3. Work was slowed because the soil has become packed and baked after the rain of the last few days.
