Began the morning by cutting into E 149-50 S60. Very littel terracotta and pottery. Cut taken into E 149-50 S 58-59. A good amount of terracotta adn some pottery found. Two chunks of plaster ( one of them made a special find #3). The rock formation in E 149 S 58-59 was cleared. There are three rocks, with a fourth emerging, which are lined up. This formation will be designated locus 8, depth 76 cm bd. There is speculation that it could be part of a wall. To the west of the rock fromation in E 149 S 59 large chunks of carbon 1 cm in diameter were uncovered.
This area will be designated as locus 9. depth 78 cm bd.
Baulked walls of trench and cleared and defined rock formation. Extended trench north 1 meter adn 10 cm on east wall adn 1 meter and 70 cm on E 150 S 57. Top soil is designated as locus 10 and munselled at 2.5 Y 3/2 dark grayish brown. Opening depth: 0 cm bd.
Ending depth locus 7: SE 81 cm bd, SW 79 cm bd, NW 69 cm bd, NE 82 cmbd, MID 81 cm bd.
Ending depth locus 8: 67 cm bd
Ending depth locus 9: 78 cmbd
Enidng depth locus 10: 10 cm bd.
