Daily Log

June 30, 1998

Took 1st cut into E 149 S 56-57 (locus 10). The soil consists of humus wiht many rooths and rocks. There is an area of burn whichis from modern day fire. There is a large amount of carbon in this area not to be confused with the destruction layer. The purpose for extending T 28 Ext. norht is to connect it wiht T 21 and also to determine if rock formation continues through this meter. A fair amount of tile/terracotta found. No pottery. Began 2nd cut into  E 149 S 56-57.

Began 3rd cut into E 149-50 S 56-57. Soil remains the same (stil in topsoil layer).

Ending depth locus 10. SE 22 cm bd, SW 20 cm bd, NW 9 cm bd, NE16 cm bd, MID 14 cm bd.

pottery 6 impasto, 1 orangeware.
