5A The stones were cleared down and found to begin at 6m N. They covered the western edge but jutted out irregularly to the east and a pattern was still unapparent. The section between the stones and the south wall was then taken down and found to contain a stone base (125cm x 32cm) for a stele at 2.00m E and 6.20m N. The base was facing east, tiled slightly in the same direction, and had the front edge of the stele slot broken off.
5B In the second course a concentration of perhaps 15 hoprse race frieze fragments was found (5.20m W, 2.50m N) many of which fit together to form two left sides. Also uncovered

at 4.75m W, 1.65m N was part of a squared stone block which appeared to be either a column or altar base. The block had a raised circular area with a small hole going down through the center and measured 70cm across.
1AB + 1AE The level of both trenches was taken down sttarting from the N edge of the wall, moving northwards. At 2.35 facing W appeared a wall, which seemed attached to the principal wall, going northwards throughout the trench, at right angles to it, but at a lower level. Width 1.25m W of the north going wall appeared a burnt area, marked by red earth.
