Excavation of Rec. 12 began at 7:00 a.m. the area having become heavily overgrown during the spring, the day was spent clearing it down.

Worked antler tip. Sawed end with two incomplete cuts toward tip.
A Grid system of 1 meter units in accordance with that established by Fullerton was set up at at the day's end. Designated by alphabetical co-ordinates from east to west (A through G) and numerical co-ordinates from north to south (1-6) see diagram page 1.
