Introduction
The purpose for excavating T25 Ext. during the 1998 season is to continue the work begun in the 1997 season (see ; T 25 + T25 Ext.). The aim for 1998 seasons is the same as 1997. Trenches T21 and T25 will be linked to establish a continuous section which, hopefully, will present a clearer indication of the chronology ane relationship which exists between said areas and the SE building (workshop), the upper building, and the structures which lie below the upper building. (See T21
trench books as follows: 1978, 1993, 1997. For T 25 see: 1980, 1981, and I1984, 1985, 1982, and 1997). The trench layout is in accordance with the master grid system (refer to pp.3-5 and p. 173).
