M-N/ Cut to 60 cm bd. Cut to subsoil. Medium brown with greyish twinge. Rock concentrations give out c. 30 cms bs and become less frequesnt. One grey-wine base (#1) in M/63 at 58 cm bd.

Cut in meter K-L/64 cleaned up and photos taken to show materials exposed 18-6-90 PM.

K-L/69-70

Continuing cut down to 100 cm bd continued from 18-6-90. As with M/69-70 meter 70 continues to be very cleanm though soil is somewhat darker thatn M/70. L/69, as M/69, is the mixed soil described on page 47. Numerous finds of pottery and tile from this meter. Other noteablewestern baulk of L/69 at 94 cm bd, and a small fleck of bronze/copper in L/69 at 95cm. Also one fragmentary impasto base in L/69 at c. 95 cm bd.

K-L/69-70, Cut extended into K/69-70. Observations maed in L/69-70 still hold/ Good preservation of pottery in this cut. One red/orange ware strape handle foundin K/69 at 95 cm bd cut not finished. POttery and tile recorded under AM cut. Some odd bone found..

K-L/63, Cut to approx 60 cm bd started to bring these meters down to same level as M-N/63. In K/63 a concentration of tile and rock found at 55 cm bd. These lie approx 40 cm away from center of spread of material K/64. These left in place. Cut not finished.
