K-L/63, Cut continued into K/63 c.55 cm bd with exceptions of materials noted yesterday, this meter was pretty devoid of pottery and tile. Many small rocks of limestone 4-5 cm across.

pottery - several frags
K/69-70, This cut to 100 cm bd finished up. Dicotomy of soil between 69 & 70 holds up but unmixed medium-brown soil extends 15 cm-20 cm into 69. In the NE corner of K/70 there is a decomposing limestone shale stone measuring 40 cm across. (small diagram of trench corner)
M/69-70, 100-110 cm bd
tile - 1/3 cassetta
pottery - 1 latte
Making another 10 cm cut. In M/69 coming down on layer heavily embedded with tile and larger impasto ware fragments. Some are coming out with the cut. In M/70 first indications of burnt material and plaster flecks. At 110 cm bd a possible crucible fragment was found in a pocket of darker dirt with charcoal. Though no longer the medium-brown/greyish soil of preceeding cuts meter M/70 still not medium or as dark a soil, nor as many plaster and unwashed tile inclusions. Some vitrified tile and slag.
