Wrap up work in Agger 11 - Rectangle 19 was carried out this morning. The remaining bulk of earth in the AG-11 extension (grids AA-BB/4) was cleared away - a fragment of frieze plaque and two painted sherds with incised scale pattern being the only finds.
The north flank of the north wall of the rectangle was exposed completely. The stone construction of this wall is preserved to a height nearly equal to that of the agger wall. The walls of the rectangle were cleaned down: most importantly, the north-east corner was clearly exposed and several adjacent stones were uncovered directly east of the north wall, perhaps indicative of a continuation of the north wall in an easterly direction.
