Preparation for cleaning the fragile section of the pelvis which is filled with dirt and still on the rock. E. Nielson suggested the following procedure: clean the bone with a water-alcohol mix, PVA in situ, remove from the earth, and do the same procedure on the opposite side.
The following solutions will be used:
- Ethel Alcohol 100%

- Ethanol Alcohol (C2H3OH) eti lico denaturato, USO Estenno d i la cat. distlation, socini, Sieno
- PVA Emulsion - diluted 50%

- Vinavil NPC * Stella Bianca Montedism
- 50-50% Alcohol-Water
List of photographs of the pelvis.
Cleaned all bones from Box 1 (except femur) and driped on a screen. Started cleaning dirt out of pelvic
bone. Repeated PVA treatment as edges are very fragile. Let dry.
Started giving bones with Karlsows Khister - LIM (Playtex - Wallco AB, Box 30, 12771, Skarholmen).

Started on Box 2: long bone shafts which are very fragile. One bone shaft was about 14.0 cm in length (uncomplete) and the center was filled with dirt. Rootlets have split the bone apart.
Box 2 also contained the following: traces of wood, spring for fibula, small pieces of iron, ? head of fibula.
Began removing dirt from the center of femur from Box 1.
