Work began in the area of Tesoro 93 by first clearing the overgrown brush encompassing all three trenches in the designated area including Tesoro 91, Tesoro 92, and Tesoro 93 (see Area Map for further reference). Bushes and vines were cut down and grasses were trimmed in order to aid excavators and increase visibility in the areas of excavation. Larger trees were cut down using axes and smaller branches and vines were removed with the use of large branch trimmer while long grass was cut back with the use of small clippers. Once the clearing of the immediate area of excavation was completed lines were established with the use of the transit in order to establish the coordinate points of the specific area of excavation.
