Proceeded west in meter H-43 with mestilinas, up to the edge of the stone concentration. The stones appear to rest on top of the galestra-like soil with the burn layer present between the stones. The concentration will be drawn later. Found 1/16 cassetta of plaster and tile fragments as well as 1/8 latte box of pottery and bone.
Continued cut in H-I/48-47 to approx. 140cm. Soil in H-I/48 was the burn layer w/galestra-like soil beginning at approx. 135cm. In H-I/47, at its east edge, began a layer of sandy-gravel soil about 2 or 3cm under the burn layer. the galestra-like soil then reappeared towards the bottom of the cut. Not much material was found in either soil. Recovered 1/3 cassetta of tile and plaster, 2 1/4 latte boxes of pottery and bone, 2 pieces of amorphous bronze, and 1 piece of heavily vitrified terraotta. Also found 3 pieces of painted creamware, finds #1, 4, and 5, find #2, a piece of incised impasto; and find #3, an incised rim fragment.
