T90 contained relatively high amounts of organic materials. Charcoal was present in nearly all excavated deposits and we collected seven charcoal samples from six of the nine loci excavated in 2019. These samples will be sent to a paleobotanical lab for Carbon 14 testing, which will help to date the associated deposits.
In addition to the charcoal samples collected, we recovered two additional organic finds, both of which were seeds. Both seeds were recovered from deposits associated with the debris of EPOC4 (Locus 24, 25). At this time, it is not known what type of seeds these finds are, so they will be analyzed by a paleobotanist in the 2020 excavation season.
