The morning began using handpicks in Locus 4 , moving from East to West. Using trowels and hands, the loose soil is being handsorted over buckets and dumped into wheelbarrows. Ancient terracotta and pottery is being recovered with most of it coming from the northeastern parts of the trench. Almost no material is being recovered in the southernmost 50 cm of Locus 4 . During the clean-up of loose soil, a butchered bone was found in the same area as the human teeth recovered last week. (Special Find #1)
