Introduction to Agger 11

Agger 11

June 1979

In order to determine the maximum extent of the system of defense walls running to the south of the Upper Building complex an area designated AG11 will be excavated.  For previous excavation of the defense wall see J. Nicks 1973 and S. Underhill 1975.

Agger 11 begins at a point 10.5 meters south of the southern edge of AG10.  A grid system shall be employed using alphabetical coordinates running parallel to the flank of the agger- north to south.  Numerical coordinates transverse the mound of the agger from 1 to 15.  See general diagram.
