Photos taken at end of morning (
)Began a 10 cm. cut to the east in Y-Z/15, to a depth of roughly 140 cm. b.d. The soil was dark brown with carbon-plaster inclusions throughout. Completed the cut through Y-Z/14 and began on Y/13. Z/13 was left in place with a surface of roughly 135 cm. b.d. because the soil is lighter brown and all the darker soil w/ carbon-plaster had been removed from its surface. Two flat stones were uncovered and left in place along the eastern edge of Y/14. They are approximately 40 cm. x 30cm., and sit at an angle. Other small stones (~10 cm.) were found throughout the cut, mixed in with the pottery and plaster. One very full cassetta of tile and plaster, 90% plaster, 10% tile fragments, and 5 latte boxes of bone and pottery, and two small flakes of bronze.
