Locus 1 will be declared open over the section of the trench not previously excavated, opening elevations for both the entire trench and locus 1 will be taken. Locus 1 was photographed and drawn.

A pick pass was done in the central part of the trench, soil is sorted and dump. 2 more pick passes are done in the eastern and central part of the trench. Roots were clipped. Locus 1 is the humus layer, there is lots of roots and organic material present. The soil is clay like and hard packed. There are patches of silty brown soil. After the 4 th pick pass, patches of small rocks are becoming present at the bottom of the humus

layer. We will continue to define the extent of these rocks but none appear in any organized fashion. A similar clustering of rocks appeared in locus 1 of T-57. The final third of the trench was picked twice. There are many roots here from the two stumps in this part of the trench. A fragment of bone was found on the surface here. 2 very worn fragments of coarseware were found. Little else has been recovered.
