Daily Log

July 25, 1979

The bulk of fallen stones in the A/3-4 grids of Rectangle 19 was lifted this morning in preparation for excavation at the 50 cm level where yesterday's bronze bird was found.  The find of a terracotta rosetta from a lateral sima re-confirms the "upper building" nature of the stone fill in the rectangle.

Work proceeded in the Agger 11 extension as well, the face of the east agger wall having been exposed by the end of the morning.
