Daily Log

Saturday, June 10  Morning

The unexcavated areas in R7 above the west wall Lower Building were completed. The wall in B-C 5 and F-5, previously excavated in 1972, had naturally been hidden by a thin layer of soil and plant growth; the wall in these grids was once again exposed and swept down. No finds, except for a few sherds of pottery.

Returned to Rectangle 8 and completed excavation of grid E 5 to E-W wall of Upper Building dividing R 8 and R 9. Thus, at the end of this working day, the entire west wall of the Lower Building running through Rectangles 6,7,8 and 9 was exposed.
