PM

Excavation has revealed two large sections of bedrock in the southwestern 1.5 m of Locus 7. The bedrock slopes down from west to east. Between these outcroppings is a more yellow deposit. It has small-medium light yellow inclusions and is compact with a clay-like texture. The deposit follows along with the slope of the bedrock. This may be the ancient surface of the midden. The bedrock is articulated with trowels and the remaining dark charcoal-rich soil continues to be removed in the eastern ~50 cm of Locus 7.
