Tesoro

Trench #2 (see Trench plan, following page 9, and overall plan, page 90.)

Trench taken down to 0.2 to 0.3 meters. In topsoil (to 0.1m) many fragments of tile, some potsherds at east end. Piece of ornamental cornice, 8cm long, found 1.25m from west end, 0.6m from north side (no find)

In second 0.1 m, more potserds, many more small tile fragments, incliding another piece of ornamental cornice, 3.0m from west end. A concentration of becchero sherds found 3.0m from west end, at south side of trench;

At about 0.1 m depth, about 0.1 m from east end of trench, in the contre, a rosette was found, broken in excavation (find #2).
