Title Rosette from Lateral Sima*
Description The upper surface is concave, with a lumpy raised area 0.015 m in diameter approximately in the center from which radiate ridges defining the rose's eight petals. These are indicated by concave areas beween the ridges, perhaps made by pressing and moving the thumb. Outside the circumference of the rose itself is an extra lump of terracotta 0.040 m long and 0.017 m wide. The lower suface is a flat, roughly circular area about 0.055 m in diameter, somewhat pitted. A groove shows the location of the extra lump of terracotta.
