Work continued cleaning down LM/80-81, mostly in M/80-81. It may be noted that the cover and pan tile relationships continued as they had before (see p. 63) further supporting the hypothesis that they fell almost dorectly here. The burn layer in these meters continued heavily, black and greasy, sometimes with some disintegrated plaster mixed in. In M/80 at 105cm deep into the burn layer with rock, tile and burned bone around it was found what appeared to be a large number of fragments belonging to an impasto pot. Many of these were burned. Many were found lying directly on top of each other. Some others were scattered to the north. Due to the wetness of the soil excavation of the depper pieces was stopped to allpw the soil to dry and prevent breakage.
An almost entire cover tile including and end and a full width was reconstructed from pieces excavated from this area. Certain fragments showed burning and blackening on teh face pointing down.
