The rock concentration in meters G-H/43 was swept and drawn.  Clearing with mestalina and  brush was then continued to the north along the northern edge of meter G/43 and into G/42.  While a few, small rocks were found continuing into the baulk of G/43, only 2 rocks of medium size were discovered in meter G/42.  The soil in G/42-43 was light bronw in color and clay-like in consistency.  Scarcely any material was discovered in this light brown "clay" soil.  Only two small pieces of pottery and one fragment of tile were found.  Clearing with mestalina and brush also began into meter G-44.  This

area had been excavated last year to a depth of ca. 35 to 40 cm.  Beginning at a depth of ca. 40-45 cm, a concentration of rocks was uncovered.  It is not yet clear, however, whether these rocks are linked to those exposed to the west in meter G-H/43.  The rocks in G/44 appear to be smaller in size and more heavily concentrated.  Further clearing will be necessary to determine their exact number and pattern of deposition.  The soil around these rocks was light brown in color and somewhat sandy in consistency.  It was not as sandy, though, as the soil found to the south.  Very little maerial was found among the rocks.  Only a few pieces of coarse pottery and a few small worn pieces of tile were found.

Finally, the southern trench baulk along meters H/43-44 and the western trench baulk along meters G-I/43-42 were cleaned with mestaline.  One quarter of a box of mixed pottery was found during cleaning.
