Digging continued in locus 2. In square meters 45-46-S/178-180-E terracotta tile is appearing throughout at approximately 70 cm. below datum point and approximately 30 cm. below the original surface. The entire area being excavated was leveled and two small stumps were removed. Two pieces of bronze were found (Special Finds #1 and #2).

A full bowl (30 cm. in diameter, 10 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments was recovered. Several fragments of bone, a piece of tooth and a couple fragments of fossilized shell were found. Five sherds of cream ware were found. Six sherds and several fragments of bucchero/buccheroid were found along with 13 sherds of impasto. Two fragments of pithoi were found, of which one is a rim and the other is unknown. One of the sherds of bucchero/buccheroid is a rim (Special Find #3).
