The area of locus 2 being excavated was levelled and readied for photograhps. The photographs are for recording the tile concentration exposed in the northern sector of the area. During the process of levelling, one bowl (30 cm. in diameter, 10 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments was recovered. Two sherds of cream ware (one broken) were found. Approximately a dozen sherds of impasto were found, one of which was part of a handle. A few small fragments of bone were found along with a couple small pieces of fossilized shell. Two pithos fragments were recovered and put in the terracotta dump.
Two photographs were taken in the afternoon, one from the south looking north and one from the west looking east.
Further work was carried out on the western scarp. Three-quarters of a latte box of pottery sherds and bone was found, along with a half-bowl of terracotta fragments. A handle fragment was found in this cleaning in a secure context which looks like a layer of burned material (Special
