Baulks were trimmed and straightened at the eastern and western ends of trench Ag9BT.  The stone formation in meters E125-127, S20-21 was cleaned and defined.  In this work 4 worn fragments of terracotta, 1 piece of impasto and 1 fragment of coarseware was recovered.

A pick cut was taken in meters E125-128, S20.  This cut included area previously excavated as Agger 9 ( PS II ) in meters E127-128, S20.  In these meters the topsoil layer, designated locus 3, was thin, approximately 4-5cm, while in meters E125-126, S20, previously unexcavated, the topsoil was

approximately 15-17 cm.  The entire area was leveled to an approximate depth of 30 cm.b.d.  In this work 30-35 worn fragments of terracotta and 7 fragments of ceramic were uncovered.  Ceramics included 2 coarseware, 4 impasto, 1 orangeware.

Beneath the topsoil layer, a layer designated locus 4, was noted.  This layer is composed of yellowish-brown soil with small concentration of small stones.

A cut was taken in locus 4 in meters E125-128, S20.  The soil was yellowish-brown with small stones and roots.  At the eastern portion of the cut (meter E128, S20) a concentration of small-medium bucchero fragments (35-40 pieces) was uncovered.  In addition a decorated rim fragment (Find #1) was recovered at the western portion of the cut (meter E125, S20).  The entire area was leveled to an approximate depth of 42-45 cm.b.d.  From this work 3/4 of a latte box of ceramic and bone was recovered, as well as the bottom of a cassetta of terracotta, including 3 pieces of 15-18 cm in length.

A second cut was begun in these same meters at meter E128, S20.  While the soil color remained consistent, flecks of carbon were noted in the soil, and the area was given the designation locus 5.  10-12 well worn pieces of terracotta were recovered in this work.
