We dig deeper in O-P 86-88.  In O 88 we reach a depth of 45 cm. and a much intensified burn soil with large bits of carbonized wood.  In P 86-87 burn soil remains intense as we reach a depth of 30-50 cm.  IN P 88 a soil flecked with white amtter gives way at about 25 cm. from the surface to a fairly intense burn soil; at about this depth a tile concentrationbegins, as stones remain frequent.  In O 87-88 the tile and rock continues to abound.  At 45 cm. down we encounter much of a covert ile atop much of a pan tile and a large rock.  Bronze "flakes" are foun in some quantitiy, mainly in O/P 86/87, where a tile concentration emerges (under and among stones and plaster) anew at depth of 40 cm.  Among the bronze is also a lotus/palmette inlay; at about 50 cm. down we find the terracotta fragment No. 5 and this area also yileds two ivory fragments (No. 1, 2).  Pottery is scant but includes a couple of fine bucchero fragments.  Some bone and some slag or vitrified matter is also saved and an unusual pan tile fragment, also some carbonized wood.

Continued work in the tile/rock concentration in O-P 86-88.  Yields a modest amount of tile, plaster and pottery as well as a fragment of bone and a "flake" of bronze.  No finds recorded.
