Tile 1
Plaster .66
Pottery 2
We continue to dig down through the burn soil and remove the tile, plaster and stone concentration - which we now see is more or less continous in O-P 86-88. Bits of bronze appear occasionally and pieces of bone, the latter, as noted above comes primarily from P 88. A fair amount of pottery is found, including several sherds from fluted bucchero cup, mixed in with thetile and plaster found within the burn soil. In P 86 we reach what seems to be the floor around the column base and we follow it around the bass further south. Some large pithos fragments emerge, and some anomalous terracotta fragments are saved.
