T6E (1)

Topsoil was taken off in the remaining cut (grid N-S, B-6).  3 boxes of tiles were dumped.  2 pieces of cornice were found in the topsoil.

8-10 taken down 2 layers

Boxes of tile dumed for the day (6)

Then, entire area B-I, 7-10 and B-M, 4-6 taken down to deepest visible level, namely that of I-10.  This was done because of the large amount of tiles and pottery that the second layer of area C-I, 8-10 had produced.
