In grids J/30-31, a one meter section of the foundation wall of room J-P/28-30 was lifted. The wall was first drawn and the stones were numbered so that they could later be reassembled.
The pottery underneath the wall was mostly nondescript. A few fine sherds of bucchero, however, were in evidence. The red plaster, burnt earth stratum which was so evident in the interior of the room, continued into and through the foundation wall.
In T-19 grid I/32, a heavy concentration of coarse pottery was encountered. This included an entire brownware cooking pot with two handles, and a large section of redware pot (one handle, but no rim or base so far).
