STRATEGY: To take the internal surface of the tholos down to floor level.

SUMMARY: Salman removed the hard pise/plaster surface in the NW of the tholos under lot 910. This revealed a hard clay-like layer, which, when removed under lot 913, revealed a possible sub-floor layer containing sherds that appeared to lie on a surface. A whole earth sample was then taken under lot 914. Keri continued to take down 906 in the SW corner and produced an undrilled bead sf125. Kemal continued taking out 908 whole earth sample. He has reached the bottom of the whole pot, but seems not to be a floor surface. I decided to remove the area immediately east under lot 911. This produced a pestle fragment sf124. This will proceed tomorrow as we head down towards a floor. I used lot 912 from(?) f240/f241 to get a definite edge.
