Work began late today due to rain. Work began by troweling and handpicking in Locus 5 . Moving from south-north soil was hand sorted directly into buckets. Once the larger rocks are defined, it will be determined whether they are clearly linear or stacked in the southern part of the locus. The soil between the rocks is a yellowish brown and claylike in texture. Very little pottery was found and small amounts of tile were recovered. 1 in 3 hand sorted buckets is dry sieved. Very little bone fragments were also recovered.

Work continued with hand picks and trowels in the southern part of Locus 5 along the larger rocks. The soil continued to be a medium yellowish brown and claylike. Soil continues to be hand sorted into buckets in the trench and every 1 in 3 buckets dry sieved. Very little material is being found. While troweling, a possible terracotta brick (Find #1) was found. A spindle whorl (Find #2) was also found. Three tile fragments

are emerging just east of the bedrock and north of the southernmost linear rock formation. A small amount of charcoal was also found here. Work finished early due to rain.
