T1 AM The second layer was taken off in trench T1 AM. It became evident that the northgoing wall continued right through the trench, with a width of ca. 1.50m. The stones were sizeable but formed a less even and

uniform pattern stear in the other parts of the wall. In order to define the end (or corner) of the wall the trench was extended 1.90m, and there seemed to be a definite break at ca 6.70m from the crosswall,
. This might be due to the fact that the ground starts to slope more and more. At 5.40m from the crosswall stones lined up at a right angle to the wall, towards the West, with a width of ca. 0.90 m (?). A turn ? In the narrow strip between the western edge of the trench and the wall were found 4 waterspout heads and one piece of banquet frieze (with traces of paint).
