Daily Log

June 19, 1967

In the area excavated by Timothy Gauty in the 1966 season (see TG trenchbook, 1966, pp. 9-17, and pp. 29-56), two trenches were laid out, each 2.0 m. by 5.0 m., in the angles of the T formed by A2 and A2A (see cut).  These two trenches will be designated as A2 east and A2 west.

In the morning dumps were moved and brush cut. The surface of both trenches was removed, yielding surface finds of broken tile in

the north end of the east trench.  Work stopped early in the afternoon because of rain.
