Work continued in the northern section of trench 2-F. A tile bed which appeard the previous afternoon was further excavated and cleaned for photographing. This tile bed extended from the north edge of the trench to a maximum distance of 1.50m toward the south; from the eastern edge to a maximum distance of 2.0m to the
west, and (long) at an approximate depth of .20m.
Within the area of this tile bed the following finds were made: An impasto bowl in pieces but nearly complete was found upside down ar a depth of .30m, .35 to .45m from the north end of the ternch and 1.60m from the east side. This was cleawned and left in situ for photography (see Find 1).
A bronze florette was found in good condition at a depth of .20m, .85m from the north end of the trench, and .55m from the east side (find 2).

pieces (not broken in excavation) not quite together, but found seperatly. The larger piece was found at a depth of .20 m (Find 6).

with earth taken from excavation of trench 2-F, the deepest part of trench 2-2A was filled, to give a depth of 80m* corresponding to the presumed floor level of the building (see p. 19).
*NOte on depth of filling: on actual measurement from the south wall of Trench 2-A, the depth is approximatly .65m. Since the ground rises from the south to the north over the entire complex area, this depth actually does corresspond to thedepth of .80m, measured from the north side of trench 2-B.
