June 21, 1977
Work continued on cut 2 (J-N/44-47). We are now cleaning the area down to the level of the new eastern wall. In grid M/44-46, we have encountered an entire cover tile, of the kind that is a little larger and thicker than usual.
Work also continued on grid N-O/40-43, trying to define the north wall of the building.

The tile in M/44-45 turns out to be quite larger than first expected. Seems to be a ridge pole tile.
