Introduction to T26 South Extension

Introduction to T26 South Extension (T26S Ext.)

In an effort to relate the stratigraphy of the upper building to that of the workshop, T26N and T26S were excavated in 1998 and 1999 (JBBI, PCSI).  For the remaining week of 2001, T26S will be extended to the south to connect to T26.  Although one continuous section will be excavated eventually, the goal this season will be only to lay out T26S Ext. and to excavate approximately 40cm.  For general excavation methods, see p. 1-7 of this book.
