The soil was damp due to the last couple of days' rain. The surface of Locus 2 was scraped down using trowels. Baulk walls were trimmed to allow the surface of the locus to dry further.

The soil has dried sufficiently for pick passes to be conducted. Yellowish decaying rock as well as white decaying rock is now across the Northern third of Locus 2 . We will cease pick passing in this Northern section for the time being in order to focus attention on revealing the full extent of the decaying rock across the
locus. The soil is still too damp to be sieved.

Pick passes continued in the southern 1.5 m (approximately) of Locus 2 with the soil continuing to be light brown in colour and claylike in texture.
Locus 2 finds:
Terracotta: 1/3 of a bowl
Pottery: 35 pieces
Bone: 4 pieces
Baulk trim:
Terracotta: 9 pieces
Pottery: 5 pieces
