Excavating resumed, although sections of the trench were still somewhat wet - marked and removed to magazino was one fragment found in a previous days excavation for a small drainage ditch.

Cuts down continued toward the level of the stone complex previously partly exposed - this entailed removal of the rest of layer B - the light brown clay soil, which in its upper section is slightly  lighter and full of small stones,...

... and in its lower layer is a finer brown soil containing numerous sherds.  Grids G 11-12, H 11-12, I 11-12, H 13-15, and I 15 were excavated down to black soil (layer C) and a few finds were sent down from occasional higher pockets of this layer.  Wheelbarrow path still left.  Finds from Stratum B:
