Work restricted to magazzino due to rain.

P.M.

The balk in meters D-E/71-72 was cleaned down for sharper definition.  Cleaning of the balk revealed two distinct strata.  The first stratigraphical layer consisted of a dense rock pack surrounded by dark brown soil.  The second layer, beginning at a depth of ca. 100cm, was composed of light brown soil and containeda high concentration of tile.  Following cleaning, a section of the balkwas drawn.
