Mesti work continued in meter L-M/69-70. The soil remains unchanged with plaster and charcoal inclusions. A spindle whorl and some slag were found. The baulk of meter 71 in L-M revealed a thin black burn area in the midst of the red burn. The large plaster fragmesnt on the line of K-L continued down & aonther larege piece seems to be emergind to the East. Meter K/69 was drawn to document the charcoal deposits. A large fragment was collected for analysis and the large, single piece will be PVA\'d in an attempt to preseve the entire piece. 1 latte box of pottery & bone was collected - approx 1/2 & 1/2. The pottery is very worn & broken into small pieces . 147 cm bd.

Meter N/63 was excavated to a depth of 125 below datum. Finds included incised impasto and large pieces of incised greyware which may preserve a profile when conserved. The soil here was characteristic of red burn layer with tile and pithos fragments throughout. 1 cassette of tile and

plastered 1/2 latte of pottery were recovered.

Mesti work also continued in meters K-L/63-64/ A speck of bronze was found in L/64 and a piece of bronze sheet in K/64. 1/3 a latte of pottery & a few pieces of tile were found. Thre trench floor is now at 125 cm bd.

The charcoal deposit in K-L/69-70 and rock in K-L/63-64 were both photographed this morning.
