Photos taken.

Levelled the area within meters E128-130, S14-15 and trimmed the baulks.  During the levelling soil remained consistent with descriptions of Locus 28 and maintained that designation.  In this work 4 pieces of terracotta and 2 coarseware, 3 impasto, 1 bucchero and 4 bone fragments were found.  In the baulk trim 8 worn pieces of terracotta and 5 coarseware, 7 impasto, 2 bucchero and 1 bone fragment were recovered.

Began a cut to the west of the scattered rock concentrations in Locus 28 - west of meters E128.10, S13.40-.50.  Due to position this was designated Locus 29.  Soil was yellowish-brown with high concentrations of carbon and

sporadic intervals of yellowish-white soil.  Levelling of this area revealed an area of densley packed stones in the north of the cut (E128, S14).  The stones are small (approximately 5cm) with a few larger ones (10-30cm) occuring adjacent to one another.  In the south of this cut (E128, S14.5-15.0) an area of yellowish-white soil was noted and designated Locus 30.  The stone packing was designated Locus 31.  In this work (Locus 29) 1/4 of a cassetta was filled with worn terracotta (approximately 20 between 5-10cm) and 3 lattes of ceramic and bone were recovered.  In addition a rochetto (Find #1), a piece of bronze

(Find #5) and 3 fragments of ceramic were designated finds (Finds #2, 3, 4).  The area within meters E128, S14-15 was levelled to approximately 95-99cm b.d.
